Tiranun Rungvivatjarus, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Tiranun Rungvivatjarus is a pediatric hospital medicine fellow at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. After graduating from UC-San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Rungvivatjarus continued her pediatric residency training at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and UC-San Diego.

Dr. Rungvivatjarus treats pediatric patients with complex medical conditions, status asthmaticus, fever in the newborn, pre- and post-op care, and a variety of pediatric pathologies. Outside of clinical care, she is dedicated to developing and implementing quality improvement (QI) projects focusing on medication reconciliation, medication errors and patient safety. She has presented her QI work at national and international pediatric conferences.

Dr. Rungvivatjarus is also a certified EPIC physician builder and has integrated her clinical informatic skills into her clinical work as well as quality improvement initiatives. She has built a variety of EPIC Workbench reports, Clinical Decision Support tools, and EPIC Clarity reports for physicians. In addition, she will be co-leading a Physician Self-Reporting workshop for physicians at Rady Children's and at the 2019 Pediatric Academic Society meeting.

Dr. Rungvivatjarus is an active member of the Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) and a former AAP District IX Fellow District Representative.

In addition to medicine, Dr. Rungvivatjarus is interested in traveling internationally, hiking, and tennis.
