Bio

Dr. Cartwright received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda MD and completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at Madigan Army Medical Center. She completed her fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology as well as her Masters in Science degree in Epidemiology at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center at the University of Washington.

She continued her academic and clinical work at Ft. Lewis, Washington, where she also was Associate Program Director for the Pediatrics residency. Dr. Cartwright continued spending time in the Pacific Northwest at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.  There, in addition to pediatric rheumatology, she participated in education, research, and hospital leadership culminating her work as medical staff Chair.

Her clinical interests include juvenile arthritis, vasculitis, autoimmune and chronic inflammatory disorders, and helping children live their fullest lives with a chronic illness diagnosis. She continues to enjoy being involved in medical education and teaching fellow and future physicians.

Dr. Cartwright grew up in San Diego and is interested in playing tennis, being active, spending time with family and her “furbaby” Boston Terrier.
