Aamisha Gupta, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Aamisha Gupta is a pediatric cardiologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, Associate Program Director for the pediatric cardiology fellowship program, and Associate Clinical Professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include acute cardiac care, general cardiology, and quality improvement.

Dr. Gupta completed her pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, New York Presbyterian Healthcare System, affiliate: Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She went on to complete her pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Georgia, Augusta University, at the Medical College of Georgia. Subsequently, she completed an additional year in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit (CTICU) with clinical focus as a CTICU hospitalist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

Dr. Gupta's research interests include optimization of acute cardiac care and education. She is involved in quality improvement and the optimization of systems to promote a team-based approach with family centered care to improve hospital quality of care for cardiac patients. She also enjoys teaching, and furthering the education and advancement of fellows, residents, and medical students.
