Dr. Charles Sauer is a Neonatologist with the Division of Neonatology at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and a Professor of Pediatrics at UC San Diego. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal medicine.
Dr. Sauer received his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona. He completed his residency in Pediatrics with Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles and completed his Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship with the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Sauer is currently serving as the Medical Director of the NICU at UC San Diego Health, Hillcrest. Dr. Sauer was featured on CBS Evening National News report by Dr. Sanjay Gupta “Mother’s Mild a Lifesaver for Preemies” in 2009. Dr. Sauer was also featured on Fox News San Diego report for the “Simbaby” with Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego in 2012.
