Chloe Kupelian, D.O.

Bio

Dr. Chloe Kupelian is a pediatric hospitalist at Rady Children’s Hospital in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UC San Diego. She completed her medical training at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and her internship, residency, and chief residency at Valley Children’s Hospital.

She then went on to complete her fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Rady Children’s Hospital/UC San Diego. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, AAP Section of Hospital Medicine, and the Academic Pediatric Association. She specializes in the care of hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents.

Her academic interests include quality improvement initiatives with an emphasis on health equity and improving the patient/family experience during the hospitalization. Her prior research focused on improving the discharge process for Spanish speaking patients by increasing the rate of discharge document translation as well as improving communication between interpreters, bedside nurses, and medical providers.

She is passionate about continuing quality improvement work as well as teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
