Dr. Elledge earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, completed his internship at Moncrief Cancer Institute and Children's Medical Center Dallas, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Suicide Prevention and Resiliency Program (SPARC), an intensive outpatient program for youth in Dallas.

He previously served at Cook Children's Medical Center as the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) oncology psychologist, working as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Dr. Elledge joined the outpatient Chronic Pain Program within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Rady Children’s Hospital in September 2024. He provides evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, relaxation training, mindfulness-based approaches, and dialectical behavior therapy–informed strategies.

Dr. Elledge meets individually with patients and their caregivers to teach and practice coping skills. His treatment goals include improving coping with pain and stress, increasing daily functioning, and supporting youth as they navigate chronic medical conditions. His research interests include evaluating outcomes for chronic pain patients and developing interventions to enhance transition readiness.
