Bio
Dr. David Poole is a pediatric hospitalist at Rady Children’s Hospital - San Diego in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He completed his medical training at the University of Missouri - Columbia and his internship, residency, and chief residency at the University of Washing - Seattle Children’s Hospital.
After training, he worked as a hospitalist with the division of hospital medicine and neonatal medicine in Seattle before moving to San Diego with his partner. His academic interests include medical education and quality improvement in pediatric asthma care. He is especially interested in health equity, working with all hospital staff to improve care for all patients.
Outside of work, he enjoys staying active by playing volleyball (former collegiate player), pickleball, and tennis. He loves exploring new restaurants and getting to know the neighborhoods of San Diego with his partner.
