Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Wang-Giuffre is a board certified pediatric cardiologist at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego and is the Director of the Rady Children’s Hospital Exercise Laboratory. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at McGovern Medical School / Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Wang-Giuffre cares for children and young adults with all types of heart conditions and has a special interest in helping patients with congenital heart disease live healthier, more active lives through exercise. Her clinical and academic interests focus on cardiopulmonary exercise testing in individuals with congenital heart disease, using these assessments to guide care and tailor interventions aimed at improving outcomes. She is dedicated to leveraging exercise and lifestyle strategies to enhance strength, endurance, and overall quality of life in this patient population.

Dr. Wang-Giuffre has a passion for providing the highest level of comprehensive cardiology care in the outpatient setting though clear compassionate communication and collaborative relationships with patients and parents, empowering them to make the right decisions for their child and family.
