Bio

Dr. Helena Yu is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Dr. Yu provides care for children and adolescents with pediatric hematology/oncology disorders, and her clinical interests are in hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. She is the co-director of the Bone Marrow Failure Program at Rady Children’s Hospital and is a steering committee member for the North American Pediatric Aplastic Anemia Consortium (NAPAAC). She conducts laboratory research on hematopoietic stem cell biology and bone marrow failure at UCSD. She enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Yu graduated from the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She completed her pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at UCSD/Rady Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Yu is a member of the UCSD Moores Cancer Center, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and American Society of Hematology.
