Bio

Melisa Moore, Ph.D., DBSM, is an international expert in children’s sleep and has worked in psychology and behavioral sleep medicine for more than two decades. A clinical psychologist board certified in behavioral sleep medicine, she provides care through Rady Children’s Health in San Diego and also maintains a private practice in the Los Angeles area, supporting children, teens, and young adults nationwide with a wide range of sleep and mood concerns.

Before joining Rady Children’s, Dr. Moore served on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania and was the Psychosocial Director of the Sleep Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Over the course of her career, she has helped thousands of patients — from infancy through young adulthood — with a variety of sleep issues.

Dr. Moore’s approach is rooted in understanding the full context of a child’s needs. She considers behavioral, medical, developmental, and psychological factors when working with families, and collaborates closely with the Sleep Medicine Program to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based care.
