Dr. Nicholas Gloude is director of the Bone Marrow Failure Program at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.
After attending medical school at Rush University in Chicago, he completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Orange County, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at UC San Diego. He received additional training in pediatric bone marrow transplantation at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Dr. Gloude's clinical and research interests are focused on pediatric acquired and inherited bone marrow failure syndromes and bone marrow transplantation. He is an active member of the Children's Oncology Group, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Society Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. He is a steering committee member for the North American Pediatric Aplastic Anemia Consortium (NAPAAC), and an executive committee member for the Clinical Care Consortium for Telomere Associated Ailments (CCCTAA).
When not working, Dr. Gloude enjoys spending time with his family, and taking his dogs to the beach.
