Shannon Wai, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Shannon Wai is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric emergency medicine specialist in the Emergency Medicine Division at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

After earning her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and completing her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Wai went on to complete her fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.

Dr. Wai's clinical interests lie in providing high-quality care to acutely ill or injured children seeking emergent medical services. As the director of resident education in pediatrics emergency medicine, she is also actively involved in training both residents and medical students.

Dr Wai enjoys spending time with her husband and children, travelling and exploring new places with her family.
