Bio

Dr. Victor Wong is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant clinical professor in pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine.

He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.

Dr. Wong completed his pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at UC San Diego. He developed an academic interest in cancer immunology during his fellowship studying tumor-induced exhaustion at the La Jolla Institute of Allergy and Immunology in Dr. Anjana Rao's lab. His clinical interests include examining the role of tumor profiling in guiding targeted therapy. In the near future, he hopes to combine his basic science and clinical interests to explore novel therapies for refractory and relapsed cancers through both translational and clinical projects.

Dr. Wong spends most of his time on leukemia/lymphoma services where he looks forward to teaching medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric hematology/oncology fellows.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
