Please note f patient is currently on URSO or Actigall, and if the pateint has been ill within the past month, give specific dates if possible. It is recommended that patients be off these two drugs for at least 5 days before specimen collection. Also provide brief clinical history and preliminary diagnosis. Call Cincinnati reference lab at 513-636-4203 with questions.

Processing Instructions
Complete the Cincinnati Children's Bile Acid by Mass Spectrometry requisition including the List of Medications section and submit with specimen frozen. Ship Monday-Thursday ONLY, no weekends or holidays. (Note: Clinical History and physician's signature is not required).

No insurance authorization required. Note: If possible send Urine ***and*** Serum. Urine is analyzed for all patients-if urine shows evidence of a metabolic abnormality, Serum will be tested.
