Collection Instructions

Plasma collected in an EDTA (lavender-top) tube is also acceptable. Overnight fasting is required. Place specimen immediately after collection in a 37 C water bath, incubator, or heat pack for 1 hour. It is very important that the specimen remain at 37 C until after separation of plasma from red cells.

Processing Instructions
