Collection Instructions

Whole blood collected in an ACD (yellow-top) tube or any anticoagulant are also acceptable. Collect Monday-Wednesday and Friday by 1200 ONLY. This test can only be peroformed if a mutation has previously been identified in a family member of the individual. Specimen preferred to arrive within 96 hours of collection. Documentation of the specific familial mutations is required and must be provided with the specimen in order to perform this test. Consultation with the lab is required prior to ordering this test.
