Collection Instructions

Thoroughly mix entire collection, then, perform one of the two processing options: Option 1: Immediately after collection, adjust pH to 8-9 by adding 10 percent Na2CO3. Transfer 1 mL aliquot urine to a transport tube. (Min: 0.5 mL) Option 2: Immediately after collection, transfer a maximum of 4 mL urine to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube prefilled with Sodium Carbonate (ARUP)supply #48096). (Min: 0.5 mL)
