Who We Are
We are a hospital-based children’s advocacy center (CAC), a child-friendly place that provides family-focused and trauma-informed services to help children and families heal from abuse and other trauma.
Our Vision
To create a world where children and families are healthy and free from abuse and neglect.
What We Do
We strive for excellence in providing direct services, training, technical assistance and resources, using state-of-the-art evidence- based practices for assessment, evaluation, treatment, prevention, education, advocacy and research. We provide culturally- responsive services guided by anti-racism and diversity-informed practices to remove institutional barriers to access.
As leaders in the field of child abuse treatment, we convene the annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment.
Our Partnerships
Chadwick Center is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance (NCA).
We partner with law enforcement, child welfare services, district attorney offices, other Rady Children’s Hospital and community providers, along with other county, state, and federal agencies.
Our Multidisciplinary Team
Our multidisciplinary team (MDT), also known as the Child Protection Team (CPT), includes caring and trained professionals from law enforcement, child welfare services, prosecution, mental health and medical providers, forensic interviewers, advocates, other CAC staff, and community partners.
