The 2023 Global Ketogenic Symposium Presented by Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego took place September 17-23 and attracted more than 600 attendees. Since 2017, medical professionals and non-profit organizations representing six continents on Earth have convened regularly to create a new global society devoted to the advancement of metabolism-based therapies for neurological disorders – this professional organization has been named the International Neurological Ketogenic Society or INKS. Notably, the formal inauguration of INKS in 2021 coincided with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the ketogenic diet.
