Recent Recruitment at Rady Children’s Hospital

Rady Children’s Hospital continues to strengthen its team with the recent recruitment of two distinguished specialists. Dr. Adel Younoszai, an accomplished pediatric cardiologist, has been appointed as Co-Director of the Heart Institute, while Dr. Tom Lin, a renowned pediatric gastroenterologist, joins to establish the Advanced Interventional Endoscopy program.
Batten’s Disease Neuro-infusion Program

We began offering intraventricular enzyme replacement therapy infusion treatments for patients with Batten’s Disease in early 2023, helping to slow the disease progression in patients. Our program is the third center in California, expanding care throughout the state and reducing travel for families
2023 Global Ketogenic Symposium

The 2023 Global Ketogenic Symposium Presented by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego took place September 17-23 and attracted more than 600 attendees.
Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy for Hyperhidrosis Surgery

Dr. Timothy Fairbanks, Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery, and Dr. Michael Levy, Division Chief of Neurosurgery, successfully performed an endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) surgery on a patient suffering from hyperhidrosis.

Rady Children’s Breaks Ground On Billion Dollar, Seven Story Patient Care Tower

As part of its master plan to reimagine its entire campus over the next decade, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego broke ground today on the largest construction project in its nearly 70-year history: a seven-story, 500,000 square foot Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Services Pavilion.
