The Anesthesia Department at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego serves more than 20,000 children each year, providing safe anesthesia to children of all ages.
Anesthesia services are provided throughout the Hospital in the 16 main operating rooms for all major surgical procedures; in four outpatient surgery suites, the cardiac catheterization suite, the invasive radiology suite and the oncology procedure suite; and for various radiology exams, including CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.
These services are also provided to our proton therapy patients and to pediatric patients at the Sharp Rees-Stealy CT/MRI Medical Center.
As Rady Children’s is the region’s designated pediatric trauma center, an anesthesiologist is on site 24 hours a day to immediately provide services to critically injured children.
