Bio

Dr. Allison Chirigos is a Child Neurologist and Fetal and Neonatal Neurologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology.

Dr. Chirigos earned her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. After graduating from medical school, she completed her Child Neurology residency training at the University of Utah / Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. She then completed her Fetal and Neonatal Neurology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. Chirigos cares for children with a wide variety of neurological disorders. She has a special interest in Neonatal and Fetal Neurology and is passionate about the early identification and treatment of neurological disorders in infancy, including cerebral palsy. Her clinical practice involves early use of specialized infant neurological exams and infant motor assessments. She is dedicated to helping her patients reach their full developmental potential and to supporting families in the process. Dr. Chirigos is a member of the Child Neurology Society and the Newborn Brain Society.
