Inpatient Chronic Pain Management Program

What You Need to Know About Chronic Pain

Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego has partnered with Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Jersey to launch the first inpatient children’s chronic pain management program in Southern California.

The partnership expands Children’s Specialized Hospital’s East Coast-based Chronic Pain Management Program to serve pediatric and adolescent patients in San Diego, Southern California and the southwestern United States through the all-new Children’s Specialized Hospital Chronic Pain Management Program at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego.

The program follows the Children’s Specialized Hospital model of pain management that is opioid- and pain medication-free. Some pain medications can lead to dependency and many times, are not needed to control pain. Our program aims to provide coping strategies and healthier ways to respond to pain.
