Physicians

Andrew Skalsky, M.D.
Dr. Skalsky is chief of the Division of Rehabilitation/Physical Medicine. He came to Rady Children’s Hospital in November 2010 from Winnipeg Children’s Hospital and the Rehabilitation Centre for Children in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, where he was also the director of pediatric rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Skalsky completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of California, Davis.

Pritha Dalal, M.D.
Dr. Dalal joined the Rehabilitation Medicine team at Rady Children’s in September 2014. She is board certified in pediatrics and physical medicine & rehabilitation, and completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and AI DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del.

Psychologist

Anke Reineke, Ph.D., BCB
Anke Reineke has been the psychologist and program director for the Children’s Specialized Hospital Chronic Pain Management Program since the opening of the program in 2019. Anke came to Rady Children’s Hospital in May 2006. Before joining the inpatient pain program, she worked for 14 years as a clinical health psychologist, specializing in working with children and adolescents in the areas of hematology/oncology, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and behavioral disorders. She earned her doctorate degree from Alliant International University in 2007.

Physical Therapists

Anita Intorre, P.T., D.P.T., NSCA-CPT
Anita Intorre has been a physical therapist since 2008 and has worked at Rady Children’s since 2015. Anita specializes in orthopedic, neurologic and cardiac rehabilitation. She is a certified personal trainer and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Her goal is to help her patients reach their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Doris Shen, P.T., D.P.T.
Doris Shen has been a physical therapist since 2008 and has worked at Rady Children’s since 2011. Doris has special training in the areas of pain management, core strengthening, vestibular rehabilitation and physical therapy interventions for hematology and oncology patients. Her goal is to help children and families increase their quality of life through physical activity and help them achieve their sports and activity goals, whatever they may be.

Occupational Therapists

Sarah Dobosiewicz, M.S., O.T.R./L, CYT 300
Sarah Dobosiewicz has been an occupational therapist since 2012 and has worked at Rady Children’s since 2014. Sarah works with children from birth to school age and has extensive experience working with children who have various diagnoses, including chronic pain. Sarah is also a certified yoga instructor who passionately blends the synergies between yoga and occupational therapy. Her goal is to help children and families reach their full potential through independence, education and support.

Megna Sahni-Patel, M.B.A., M.S., O.T.R./L
Megna Sahni-Patel has been an occupational therapist since 1996 and began working at Rady Children’s in 2015. Megna has worked extensively in various types of settings as an occupational therapist and was a rehabilitation manager in an East Coast facility prior to relocating to San Diego. Her goal is to help children and families increase their independence with all of their daily activities and to improve their overall quality of life.

Katie Tietz, O.T.R./L
Katie Tietz has been an occupational therapist since 2014 and began working at Rady Children’s at this time. Katie has experience working with medically fragile infants and children with a variety of developmental delays and feeding difficulties. During her time with the Chronic Pain Management Program, she has successfully treated adolescents with chronic pain diagnoses. Along with helping them to regain function, she has improved both their strength and endurance.

Recreational Therapists

Charlotte Filardi, CTRS
Charlotte Filardi has been a recreation therapist since 2018 and has worked at Rady Children’s since 2019. Since receiving her Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification, Charlotte has worked in several different clinical settings with children of all ages and with a variety of physical and developmental disabilities. She specializes in adolescent pain management, pediatric skilled nursing and subacute care. Her goal is to introduce her patients and their families to new leisure and recreation opportunities, and help her patients to feel confident to participate and succeed.

Qiming Yang, CTRS
Qiming Yang joined the inpatient chronic pain program in August 2019 after earning her Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University. Qiming is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who uses a holistic approach to improve patients’ health and quality of life. She completed her internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in the Health and Wellness department.

Social Worker

Tricia Grant Cass, LCSW
Tricia Grant Cass is a licensed clinical social worker and has worked for Rady Children’s since September 2004. Beginning in  2005, Tricia became the social worker for the Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children (Rady Children’s Hospital’s pediatric skilled nursing and subacute facility). She is also the patient navigator for our Chronic Pain Program, helping families through the referral process to admission. Tricia earned her master’s degree in social work from San Diego State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from the University of California, Irvine.
