Bio

Dr. Jesse Stringer is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist and board-eligible pediatric intensivist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an assistant clinical professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He specializes in cardiovascular intensive care and cares for patients in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit.

Dr. Stringer earned his bachelor of science in biology at the University of Minnesota and his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He continued at the Medical College of Wisconsin for his pediatric residency training. He then continued his subspecialty training by completing a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital- Stanford followed by a pediatric critical care fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Stringer's clinical and research interests include acute kidney injury following cardiac surgery, neurodevelopmental outcomes in children following cardiac surgery and optimizing postoperative pain and sedation management. He is also actively involved in mentoring and teaching medical students, residents and fellows in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care.
