The Clubfoot Clinic, under the direction of C. Douglas Wallace, M.D., Maya Pring, M.D., and Amanda, Asaro, P.A.-C., assesses newborns to children age 5 for foot deformities related to congenital clubfoot.
Our pediatric orthopedists are trained in the Ponseti casting method for treating this condition. The clinic offers prenatal consults for clubfoot identified on prenatal ultrasound and ongoing support during treatment. The team includes an orthopedic technician and community-based certified orthotists to assist in the ongoing casting and bracing that is usually needed for successful correction.
