Dr. Sarah Villarroel is a child abuse pediatrician at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the department head of social work at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Board certified in both general pediatrics and child abuse pediatrics, Dr. Villarroel works as a child abuse pediatrician as an active duty physician and at the Chadwick Center.
She also frequently provides attending coverage for the pediatric inpatient ward at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Dr. Villarroel is currently one of two active duty Navy child abuse pediatricians serving the Department of Defense, providing expert consultation and testimony to military installations worldwide.
