Overview

The Occupational Therapy Department at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego empowers children of all ages to take part in daily activities by helping them develop their motor, cognitive, social, and adaptive skills.

Our aim is to help children become as independent as possible to participate across home, school, and community environments.

Occupational Therapy Services

Our occupational therapists are trained to provide therapeutic interventions to children of all ages in a fun and meaningful way. We specialize in a variety of areas including:

  • Feeding therapy, for oral motor concerns and/or pickiness
  • Hand therapy, including strengthening and orthosis fabrication
  • Developmental therapy, with an emphasis on daily living skill participation
  • Attention and emotional regulation strategies
