Key Steps Obesity Prevention

Key Steps Obesityhappy little girl near the fridge with healthy foods, fruits Prevention was an innovative program designed by the Center for Healthier Communities to test a brief screening and intervention program to provide pregnant women and parents with children 0-4 years with education, skills and resources to initiate “key” behaviors in their home environment aimed at preventing their child from becoming obese or overweight. Making changes in the way parents eat, exercise, play and spend time with their children when they are very young can make a big difference in their child’s weight as he/she grows.
