Brian Fagan, M.D.

Bio

Dr. Brian Fagan is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is director of the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcomes Program and director of the Pediatric Cardiology Clerkship for medical students and pediatric residents.

Dr. Fagan received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, graduated from UC San Diego School of Medicine in 2001 and then completed his general pediatric training at UC San Diego in 2004. In 2007, he completed pediatric cardiology fellowship training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Fagan is a committed advocate for his patients and their families. His clinical interests include community-based pediatric cardiology, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac catheterization / interventional cardiology, and neurodevelopment outcomes. Dr. Fagan lectures on topics in general pediatric cardiology, echocardiography and cardiac catheterization. His research includes investigation of Ebstein's anomaly of the tricuspid valve.

When he is not working, Dr. Fagan enjoys watching his sons play football and lacrosse, traveling with his family, attending music concerts and playing basketball.
