Emily Cidambi PhotoEmily Cidambi, M.D.
Dr. Emily Cidambi is an orthopedic surgeon at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego and an assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine. In her practice, Dr. Cidambi focuses on congenital, acquired and traumatic conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity, with a particular interest in dance medicine. A longtime ballet dancer herself, she brings a personal and professional connect that benefits this patient group. After completing her orthopedic surgery training at UC San Diego, Dr. Cidambi spent a year with Rady Children’s Orthopedic research group during her residency. She then completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Cidambi grew up in Atlanta and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia

Domanique is a board-certified athletic trainer and works closely with Suraj Achar, M.D., who specializes in sports medicine, and Emily Cidambi, M.D., who focuses on congenital, acquired and traumatic conditions of the foot, ankle and lower extremity, with a particular interest in dance medicine. Domanique joined the team in April 2022. Previously she worked in the Athletic Medicine Department at San Diego State University primarily with the student-athletes for the women’s softball team providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation. During her tenure, she also acted as a preceptor to athletic training students teaching athletic training skills. Her experience as a certified athletic trainer provides her with unique insight into the caliber of athletes treated and ability to properly return athletes safely to their sport after injury. Domanique graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in human physiology and attended California Baptist University earning her master’s degree in athletic training.
