Rush Chewning M.D.

Rady Children’s Hospital welcomes Rush Chewning M.D. as the new Medical Director of their newly established Pediatric Interventional Radiology program. Dr. Chewning brings over 10 years of expertise, including dedicated fellowships in both adult and pediatric Interventional Radiology. Notably, he served at Boston Children’s Hospital for six years, specializing in treating complex cases.

This new program aligns with Rady Children’s commitment to multidisciplinary care and offering the best for their patients. Dr. Chewning expresses his excitement to build a robust program, train future generations, and positively impact the lives of children and their families.

 

Tom Lin M.D.

Tom K. Lin M.D. is a pediatric gastroenterologist who helps child patients with conditions of the gastrointestinal or digestive tract. Dr. Lin comes from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and has joined Rady Children’s to establish the Advanced Interventional Endoscopy program.

As a healthcare professional, he received his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and has spent much of his time after graduating helping children.

As a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Lin has experience with pancreaticobiliary disorders in children, infants, and adolescents. Besides helping children with these conditions as a healthcare professional/specialist, he has been featured in publications focusing on topics, such as post-conflict settings, pancreatitis, and small bowel imaging.

 

Vijay A. Patel M.D.

Rady Children’s Hospital is thrilled to welcome Vijay Patel M.D., a highly qualified and passionate pediatric otolaryngologist, to its esteemed team. Dr. Patel brings a wealth of expertise and experience to San Diego, having completed both a Rhinology and Cranial Base Surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This unique dual fellowship training positions him as the only such specialist on the West Coast, uniquely equipped to address complex ENT issues in children.

Dr. Patel’s dedication extends beyond his impressive credentials. He is deeply committed to providing comprehensive care for all children with ear, nose, and throat concerns. His research interests in areas like skull base surgery, cystic fibrosis, and congenital nasal anomalies reflect his desire to push the boundaries of pediatric ENT care.

Adel Younoszai M.D.


Rady Children’s Hospital recently expanded its team by recruiting Adel Younoszai M.D. as the Co-Director of the Heart Institute and Division Chief of Cardiology. With over two decades of experience in pediatric cardiology, Dr. Younoszai is known for creating holistic wellness programs for children with heart conditions. His appointment is expected to bring advancements to the cardiology department, leveraging technology for faster and more effective care.
