ACCME Accreditation Overview

UC San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. For an annual fee, the UC San Diego School of Medicine CME is the accredited provider for all Rady Children’s pediatric CME activities. UC San Diego School of Medicine CME provides accreditation for the following main activity types:

How do I qualify for a “No Fee” Conference?

Must comply with the following requirements:

  • Not a recurring event in the same year
  • Charge a nominal fee participants for participation
  • No income from commercial support
  • Do not show industry exhibits or presentations

To apply for a “No Fee” Live CME Course, a pre-application must be completed first and submitted to the CME office at cme@rchsd.org.

January to June CME Live Courses – Submit pre-application by October 30.

July to December CME Live Courses – Submit pre-application by April 30.

Email notification of the decision will be provided by November 15 for October 30 applications and May 15 for April 30 applications.
