The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients>
The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) supports the ongoing evaluation of the scientific and clinical status of organ transplantations in the United States. In addition to national statistics, SRTR provides center-specific reports that profile individual transplant programs, describing their waiting list populations, transplant patients and outcomes. Some comparison of patients and outcomes is made to national profiles.
United Network for Organ SharingThe United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) is a non-profit organization that administers the nation’s only Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). In addition to facilitating organ matching and placement, UNOS collects and manages data about every transplant in the U.S. and develops organ transplantation policy. All organ transplant institutions in the U.S. use the UNOS transplantation information database to register patients for transplants, match donated organs to waiting patients, and manage the data of all patients, both before and after their transplants. The UNOS database contains the status of organ donation and transplantation on national, regional and statewide levels, as well as current and historical information about individual transplant centers.
