Services

Pediatric Nephrology Services

We provide a full array of services to diagnose and treat kidney diseases, including both inpatient and outpatient care. Our clinics are co-located within the Comprehensive Kidney Care Center, offering families a coordinated experience across nephrology services.

General Nephrology

The General Nephrology Clinic provides comprehensive care for children with kidney conditions, including on-site diagnostics and procedures.

  • Kidney biopsies – A short procedure performed with anesthesia in which a small sample of kidney tissue is collected to help diagnose certain kidney diseases.
  • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring – Helps determine whether a child has true high blood pressure or elevated readings only in the clinic (“white coat syndrome”). A referral is required from your child’s physician.
  • Urine studies at every visit
  • Venipuncture and lab draws during clinic visits

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Clinic

The Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic supports children and families managing home-based PD. Our team provides training, ongoing follow-up, and comprehensive management to help patients and caregivers feel confident with treatment at home.

Hemodialysis (HD) Clinic

The Hemodialysis Clinic provides in-center dialysis for children who require this treatment. Our pediatric-focused team delivers individualized care in a supportive environment.

Nephrology Infusion Center

The Nephrology Infusion Center is an outpatient service offering IV therapies and infusion treatments for children with kidney conditions. Your child’s care team will determine whether infusion therapy is appropriate based on their diagnosis and treatment plan.

Kidney Transplant Program

  • Kidney Transplant Program – We provide transplant evaluations for children undergoing dialysis. A referral may be required from your child’s physician.

Multidisciplinary Clinics

Specialized Therapies

We offer specialized treatment approaches for complex kidney conditions, including focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Your child’s nephrology team will discuss whether these options are appropriate based on diagnosis and medical needs.
