Transplant Coordinators

Alisha Harrison, R.N., is a kidney transplant coordinator and dialysis nurse. She has worked at Rady Children’s since 2004 and in the Kidney Transplant Program since 2013. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif.

Dina MacDonald, R.N.

Erin Phebus, R.N., B.S.N., is a hemodialysis case manager and kidney transplant coordinator. She has a special interest in infant hemodialysis. She has worked at Rady Children’s since 2009 and on the Nephrology team since 2011. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado.

Cheryl Ripp, R.N., M.S.N., P.N.P., CCTC, is a nurse practitioner and kidney transplant coordinator. She specializes in providing post-transplant care to patients. Cheryl has been working at Rady Children’s since 2008, focusing on nephrology and kidney transplants since 2010. Her main areas of interest are caring for adolescent transplant patients as well as helping patients transition to adult care. Cheryl received her Bachelor of  Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of San Diego.

Nephrology/Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic Nurses

Meghan Cantillon, M.Ed., R.N., C.P.N., is a nurse care coordinator. She has been working at Rady Children’s since 2008 and in nephrology since 2016. Monica earned her master’s degree in education from Simmons College in Boston, her nursing degree from Lawrence Memorial: Regis College, Boston, and her undergraduate degree from Plymouth State College in Plymouth, N.H.

Monica Casillas, R.N., is a nurse care coordinator. She has been working in the Nephrology division since 2013. Monica’s interests include chronic kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome education, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and the transition to adult care. She completed her nursing program at San Diego City College.

Jane Goggin, R.N., B.S.N., is a general nephrology coordinator and kidney transplant coordinator. She has been working at Rady Children’s Hospital for more than 30 years and in outpatient nephrology for more than 20 years.

Peritoneal Dialysis Nurses

Cherub Deniz, R.N., has worked at Rady Children’s several times throughout her career and in dialysis/nephrology since 2016. In her roles as an infusion nurse and case manager, she developed an extensive knowledge base in addition to her nursing skills. Cherub holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Linfield College School of Nursing.

Stacey Heim R.N., B.S.N., has been working as a nurse and nurse manager in the Comprehensive Kidney Care Center for the past 12 years and was a member of Rady Children’s original hemodialysis nursing team. She currently works as a coordinator for the Kidney Transplant Program as well as a nurse for the hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programs. She earned her  Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University.

Jennifer Woodmansee, R.N., B.S.N., is a peritoneal dialysis nurse coordinator. She has worked at Rady Children’s since 2008 and in the nephrology specialty since 1992. Her area of interest is providing care to babies in the neonatal ICU. She has always been inspired by their incredible strength at such a tender age. Jennifer is also passionate about helping patients on peritoneal dialysis to be successful at school and educating families on living a full life on dialysis at home.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago.

Social Workers

Leah Bogopulsky, M.S.W., LCSW,  has been a social worker at Rady Children’s since 2002 and a member of the Nephrology team since 2015. She performs psychosocial assessments and educates, supports and refers patients to community resources in collaboration with the other members of the Nephrology team. Leah is particularly interested in how family dynamics affect the overall health and well-being of patients and what can be done to increase coping and management skills. She earned her bachelor’s degree is in psychology from the College of Charleston and her Master of Social Work from San Diego State University.

Adelita Garcia, M.S.W., is a social worker who has been working at Rady Children’s since 2013 and on the Neprhology team since 2015. She provides individual and family therapy to help patients be successful. In addition to her Master of Social Work, she holds a certificate from the Chance at Childhood Program at Michigan State University.

Dietitians

Rayna Levitt, R.D., CLE, is a clinical dietitian for the Nephrology team as well as dialysis and kidney transplant. She has worked at Rady Children’s since 1998 and on the Nephrology team since 2000. Her areas of expertise are the management of G-tube feedings, patients with failure to thrive and renal issues. She works with patients and families to help them understand and implement the renal diet in a reasonable and manageable way. Rayna earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in nutrition from Ryerson University in Ontario, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts  in psychology from York University in Ontario, Canada.

Aarti Sachdeva, M.S., R.D., has been working at Rady Children’s Hospital since 2015 and is a recent addition to the Comprehensive Kidney Care Center. She has a master’s degree in dietetics and food service management and is a certified diabetes educator. Her expertise in nephrology and diabetes along with her personal interests in cooking and yoga enable her to provide unique and tailored nutrition care plans to our patients.
