Sleep Services in Murrieta

Pediatric Sleep Care Now Available in Murrieta and Riverside

Rady Children’s Center for Healthy Sleep is expanding access to pediatric sleep care for families in Murrieta, Riverside County and the greater North County region. As part of this growth, the program is adding physicians and introducing a dedicated behavioral sleep program, bringing the same board-certified, multidisciplinary sleep expertise families rely on in San Diego closer to home.

Rady Children’s Center for Healthy Sleep is San Diego County’s only fully dedicated pediatric sleep lab, providing expert, compassionate care for children and adolescents from birth onward. Directed by Rakesh Bhattacharjee, M.D., our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and sleep psychologists evaluates and treats a broad range of conditions, including snoring, upper airway resistance syndrome, obstructive and central sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, circadian rhythm disorders, narcolepsy, hypersomnolence, arousal disorders and nighttime sleep behaviors or parasomnias.

We are also the county’s only sleep lab offering studies for children with complex medical backgrounds, with testing available 360 days a year—including weekends and select holidays.

Why Healthy Sleep Matters

Healthy sleep is essential to every child’s learning, development and overall well-being. Poor sleep quality or insufficient sleep can contribute to academic, behavioral, developmental and social difficulties, as well as depression, anxiety, irritability, trouble focusing, daytime sleepiness, weight abnormalities and cardiovascular or metabolic complications. Pediatric sleep problems can also disrupt parents, siblings and the entire family dynamic. At the Rady Children’s Center for Healthy Sleep, we help families identify the cause of sleep challenges and find effective, personalized solutions—so children can sleep better, feel better and thrive.

Services Overview

Families in the Murrieta and Riverside area have expanded access to pediatric sleep evaluation and treatment, offered both in person and by telemedicine.

In-Person Clinic & Telemedicine Visits

  • Sleep clinic visits held on-site at Rady Children’s Murrieta Medical Plaza
  • Telemedicine visits available for follow-up and select consultations
  • Care coordinated with local referring pediatricians and specialists, including our established Murrieta ENT program

This region has historically referred a high volume of pediatric sleep studies, and the program is growing its physician team to meet that need — ensuring children with sleep-related breathing disorders no longer need to travel as far for expert care.

Behavioral Sleep Program

The Center for Healthy Sleep now offers a dedicated behavioral sleep program, led by our pediatric sleep psychologist. Behavioral sleep treatment addresses sleep initiation, sleep maintenance and other non-medical sleep concerns as part of Rady Children’s whole-child approach to care. Behavioral sleep visits are available in San Diego, on-site in Murrieta, and via telemedicine.
