Evaluation and Stipend
Description of Evaluation of Training Program and Trainee
The trainee will be given a written evaluation 3-4 months into training and upon completion of the fellowship. The fellow’s clinical research project will also be evaluated. The fellow will have the opportunity to evaluate his/her experience with us as well. We appreciate this feedback, as it enables us to change and improve the program as needed.
Total Number of Trainees in the Department
Ten orthopedic residents from UC San Diego Medical Center and five residents each from the Navy/Army and Air Force rotate through Rady Children’s annually, with four to five residents present at any given time. We have four pediatric orthopedic fellows per year, as well as several international fellows that rotate through for three to 12 months to shadow faculty.
