Sunny Park, CPNP
Sunny joined our team in January 2011. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing in 2006. Following graduation, Sunny joined the Pediatric Orthopedics Division of Johns Hopkins, where she gained experience in treating sports injuries, scoliosis and hip conditions. Sunny is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner who works closely with Dr. Dennis Wenger. She also has a special interest in sports injuries. Sunny enjoys playing sports, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring San Diego.
Philip Stearns, M.S.N., CPNP
Phil is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and works closely with Andrew Pennock, M.D., specializing in pediatric fracture care. He also has a special interest in pediatric hip and foot disorders. Phil joined the Orthopedic and Scoliosis Center of Children’s Specialists of San Diego (now Rady Children’s Specialists of San Diego) in August of 2000. He graduated from Iona College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his master’s degree in nursing from Yale School of Nursing in May of 2000.
Care Coordinator R.N.
Jamie Lantz, M.S.N., B.S.N., RN
Jamie joined our team in October 2023 as a Care Coordinator for the 360 Sports Medicine Team. She works closely with the non-operative and operative sports physicians. She has a strong history of caring for orthopedic patients from her experience working at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and UCSD Hospital. Jamie spent her first three years in San Diego as a travel nurse before transitioning to a full-time position here at Rady Children’s. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Miami and a master’s in Clinical Nurse Leadership from Sacred Heart University.
Athletic Trainers
Domanique Peretti, M.S., ATC
Domanique is a board-certified athletic trainer and works closely with Suraj Achar, M.D., who specializes in sports medicine, and Emily Cidambi, M.D., who focuses on congenital, acquired and traumatic conditions of the foot, ankle and lower extremity, with a particular interest in dance medicine. Domanique joined the team in April 2022. Previously she worked in the Athletic Medicine Department at San Diego State University primarily with the student-athletes for the women’s softball team providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation. During her tenure, she also acted as a preceptor to athletic training students teaching athletic training skills. Her experience as a certified athletic trainer provides her with unique insight into the caliber of athletes treated and ability to properly return athletes safely to their sport after injury. Domanique graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in human physiology and attended California Baptist University earning her master’s degree in athletic training.
Gabriel Saltzman, ATC
Gabriel is a board-certified athletic trainer who works closely with Erika Pruss, M.D., who specializes in children and adolescents with musculoskeletal injuries, disordered eating, chronic pain, and concussion, and Elizabeth Kaufman, M.D., who specializes in sports injuries in children and young adults with a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound. Gabriel joined the orthopedics team in October of 2022. Prior to joining the department, he was the athletic trainer for a local high school and physical therapy clinic. Gabriel graduated from San Diego State University in 2022. In the summer of 2021, Gabriel completed an internship with the Los Angeles Rams, where he assisted with athlete rehabilitation and was exposed to sports medicine at the professional level. His experiences have allowed him to recognize and treat injuries seen within sports medicine. Being an athlete himself, Gabriel understands the hardships that come with sports injuries and works diligently to help athletes and patients get back to sports and activities safely.
Devin Tilden, M.S., ATC
Devin is a board-certified athletic trainer with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from Biola University and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Point Loma Nazarene University. She has gained extensive experience working with athletes at various levels, including assisting with in-game concussion observation and rehabilitation for the San Diego Loyal during their 2023 season. Devin also contributed to the Sweetwater High School District’s injury clinic, where she developed skills in diagnostic ultrasound imaging and managed high school athletes’ rehabilitation needs. Specializing in sports performance, Devin’s graduate studies focused on foundational and tactical strength and conditioning. Her background allows her to design customized rehabilitation programs tailored to unique populations emphasizing both performance enhancement and injury prevention.
