Featuring Dr. Michelle Dilley and Dr. Bob Geng from Rady Children’s/UC San Diego School of Medicine
This 25-minute module on asthma inhalers from UC San Diego School of Medicine is designed to improve inhaler competence among providers by reviewing the various types of inhaler devices including the mechanisms, appropriate techniques through video demonstrations and advantages/disadvantages of the different devices.
The goals are to help providers feel more confident teaching patients how to use their inhalers, prescribe the optimal devices for certain patients and improve asthma health outcomes.
The module can be accessed free-of-charge after creating a CME California account.
